Vivo Life Protein Review – Read This Before You Buy

by Mr Plant Based

Yesssss what’s going on my friends. So you’re here to check out this Vivo Life protein review.

If you haven’t tried Vivo life products and you want to know a little more about this brand of protein powder then by the end of this review you should know everything you need to know.

Firstly, I should tell you that I’ve been buying Vivo Life products for a quite a while and I’ve tried all the flavors.

Here are some screenshots showing you.

Vivo Life Protein Review

I just thought I’d show you that as so many people write reviews who haven’t really tested the product in hope of making some commissions.

Now you know I’ve actually tried Vivo life protein for quite a while.

Anyway, let’s get stuck in and start this review with the pros and cons.

Pros And Cons of Vivo Life Protein Powder.

Pros

  • Taste good.
  • Includes Turmeric extract <— Great health benefits
  • High nutritional value
  • Ethical company
  • Heavy metal tested
  • Tested and certified free from over 500 different herbicides, pesticides, and fungicides.
  • They include a money-back guarantee

Cons

  • One of the higher-priced plant-based protein powders
  • Doesn’t include a serving spoon (need to pay extra for it)

The 3 Big Questions About Vivo Life Protein

If you’re in a hurry and want to know the most important bits in this Vivo Life protein review then I’ve answered the 3 main questions you probably want to know.

After those 3 questions, I’ll go into more depth in this review.

What Does Vivo Protein Powder Taste Like?

I think it tastes great.

I used to drink whey protein before I moved to a more plant-based diet.

When I first tried Vivo life protein I found it to be less sweet and more natural tasting.

When I try most other brands now, I find them to be overly sweet or have a chemically taste.

I think Vivo life protein tastes just right.

Some flavors taste better than others but there’s not any I don’t like.

Some taste better for different things.

For example, Banana and Cinnamon taste great on its own. Acai & Blueberry taste good in a fruit smoothie. Madagascan Vanilla tastes good in protein pancakes.

But overall, they all taste pretty god dang good!

Is There Anything Bad About Vivo Life Protein Powder?

Honestly, there’s not much I can say bad about this brand.

They’re super ethical and the product itself is great.

The only major downside is their products are probably one of the more high priced ones on the market. It’s not the most expensive but it’s up there with the higher-priced products.

You can get a discount by using either of the links below.

—> Get 10% OFF In The UK Store Here

—> Get 10% OFF In The US Store Here

That’s the trade-off when it comes to premium quality, it cost more.

I’ve used other cheaper plant-based brands when money was tight but I’d much rather pay a little extra to buy from a company like Vivo Life.

Where Is The Best Place To Buy Vivo Life Protein Powder?

The main places to buy is on Amazon and the Vivo Life store.

The US amazon doesn’t have very much Vivo products though. As of checking this they only have 1 type of protein and that’s it.

Personally, it makes more sense to buy from Vivo Life direct as you can use the discount links from above and also they ship in 100% recycled card boxes. It’s free from bubble wrap etc.

Which if you’re like me, you care about that stuff.

Amazon is always a safe bet when ordering online as they are a big trusted company, but Vivo Life is fine to order from and I’ve never had any issues with slow shipping etc.

Just so you know, it’s cheaper to buy direct from Vivo Life, and that’s without the discount code you can use above.

So if you order direct from Vivo Life and use the discount code it’s going to be much more cost-efficient for you.

Either way, those 2 are the best options in my opinion.

  • A serving has 25g of protein
  • There’s 6g of plant-based BCAA per serving

  • Contains Reishi mushroom fruiting extract
  • Made using Bio-fermented Yellow Pea Protein & Cold Pressed Hemp Protein
  • Digestive Enzymes (Ginger Extract, Papain, Peppermint Leaf & Fennel Seed)

What’s In Vivo Life Protein

It has Turmeric Extract which is 95% curcuminoids.

Turmeric has plenty of health benefits including helping to prevent heart disease, Alzheimer’s and cancer.

It’s also potent anti-inflammatory and antioxidant and can help improve symptoms of depression and arthritis.

Regarding the 95% curcuminoid, I wasn’t actually sure what that meant as they mention it on their site and packaging.

I had to google it and in short, it just means it’s a much better and potent form of Turmeric extract.

…meaning you get more health benefits.

Vivo Life Protein powder also includes Digestive Enzymes (Ginger Extract, Papain, Peppermint Leaf).

Digesting Enzymes helps break down the protein for better absorption and it also helps promote healthy digestion and can help relieve IBS systems.

There are no added sugar or no artificial ingredients.

They use a natural sweetener called Stevia. No aspartame or anything like that.

Everything is certified Non-GMO.

That’s good news for US customers as GMOs are legal there.

There’s also no herbicides or pesticides and the protein powder made in a certified organic facility in the UK.

So that’s definitely good news if you want a healthy protein powder.

Something to talk about is heavy metals.

Heavy Metal Tested

Did you know that most protein powders contain worrying levels of heavy metals?

This includes brands such as Sunwarrior, Vega, Garden of Life, Optimum Nutrition and Quest.

I honestly didn’t know that before I started using Vivo Life protein powder.

It’s not something you would even think to check.

Vivo Life actually checks the ingredients at the source for heavy metals and contaminations.

They also get their batches tested by a third party (vganic) for heavy metals and contaminations.

You can also see the results here.

These extra checks obviously contribute to the price being a little higher than the average plant-based protein powder.

I don’t know about you but it does make me like this brand more because they care more about the health and safety of their customers rather than getting a higher profit margin.

Highly Ethical Brand With A Great Mission To Help The Environment

What I’ve really come to love about this company is Vivo Life is more than just a protein and supplement company.

They genuinely care about the people they serve and the planet we live on.

An example of that is they have committed to being a plastic-free company by the end of 2019.

They are well on the way to achieving that goal.

They’ve used BPA free packaging from the start but now they are stepping up their game and are going compostable.

All packaging will be made from plant materials and will be home compostable.

They have also stopped including a plastic serving spoon in the packs.

Personally, I found that a little annoying that they want to charge £1 for a serving spoon but you can imagine how much plastic gets saved now because of this.

You buy 1 and then reuse it, or just use a tablespoon and weigh what you’re using (that’s what I do).

Vivo Life also plants one tree for every order for the purpose of reforestation, agroforestry and reducing extreme poverty for local villagers.

As of writing this, they’ve planted 17,263 trees.

What an impact for a supplement company.

They also donate 20p per sale to Street Games Charity which helps kids in the poorest communities through sports.

Vivo Life Reviews From Other People

As I wrote this I thought I’d check what others are saying about Vivo Life so I checked Trustpilot as that’s where people go to write reviews.

Trust pilot is as good as you can get when it comes to real reviews from product buyers.

Most are much more likely to complain and leave a bad review than to leave a good review.

The fact Vivo Life has a 91% Trustpilot score says something for Vivo Life.

You can see the 91% positive reviews from over 650 users as of writing this.

Conclusion

Overall I think Vivo Life is a great tasting product which is a healthier option than most brands.

It also has a good-sized portion of protein in each serving which is good.

Vivo Life is an amazing company which is doing its best to serve its customers as good as possible whilst also making a positive impact on the planet and environment.

If you don’t mind paying a little more than the cheaper vegan protein powders then this is without a doubt the best protein powder for someone who wants a good-tasting and healthy protein powder.

There ya go.

I hope you’ve found this Vivo life protein review helpful. If there’s anything you want to say then please feel free to leave a comment.

Ahh man, personally I don’t mind that flavor, my favorite is the Acai and blueberry at the minute but it changes from time to time. Sometimes I find other brands a bit too overly sweet, especially the Vegan protein powder by Bulk protein. Try some new flavors and see if you can find one that works for you. Thanks and good luck 🙂

Just a quick question do you know if it’s been batch tested for banned substances for professional athletes?

Hey Jay, sorry I don’t know the answer to that question. I would think you’d be safe as it’s plant-based, but it’s probably best you message Vivo Life direct and ask them to be sure. Sorry I couldn’t be more helpful. Thanks

This review is so helpful! One question I had was does the protein powder taste like stevia? I really dislike the taste of stevia and in the past have disliked the taste of the PEScience vegan protein powder since it had a strong taste of stevia.

Hi Nejma! Vivo life doesn’t taste like stevia, I know what you mean though, I’ve had a protein powder from Bulk Powders that had a horrible stevia taste. Even though Vivo life contains stevia it’s not noticeable. Vivo has a very natural taste which is not chemical or overly sweet. Hope that helps!

Hey there! Thanks so much for making this blog. I have been on the market for protein powder and decided to try Amazing Grass. It does not even compare to Vivo Life!
